Dueto security issues in the past, most of the new ip cameras don't have a default password and you have to create one during the installation. This password list is for old IP camera models or cameras which still have old firmware. The Hikvision default password usually is the most wanted one but it only works for old models since the newSimplypull the ARP table on the server. If you know all the IP addresses of the cameras AND can connect your laptop to the same L2 network, then simply ping each camera from the laptop and check the ARP table. You can do this from any MDF/IDF if they are all on the same L2 network as you say they are all connected back to the MDF.
OKso I had to change the DHCP settings, thanks! It's now active and the cameras are showing as active, but when I try to get the feed to play on the main view screen on ivms, it won't show up. Just grey boxes. The camera thumbnails do show a green "play" icon next to them, but no feed!
